Emcee'ing in the Hip-Hop world is the ability to productively express oneself through lyrics. It is essentially the power of words and self-expression! Emcee's have mastered the craft of rhyming, which is then recited over a beat. Our students will learn the ingredients of a Hip-Hop song from the Intro, Verses, Hooks, Bridge and Outros.

 

Our goal is for our students to productively express themselves through the art of emceeing. During the course our students will engage in exercises that include public speaking, effective communication, and expansion of their vocabulary. Students will then compose their own poems and rhymes that will be combined with beats to make their own original compositions.
